The engine does not turn off when the car is warmed up
If the ignition switch is turned off, the motorcycle engine still cannot turn off or cannot turn off quickly (this happens mostly on two-stroke vehicles), and the crankshaft will not turn off in a short time. Unstable low-speed operation can still be maintained. This happens mostly because the engine’s long-term operating temperature is too high, or due to long-term lack of maintenance, too much carbon deposits in the cylinder.
In these situations, the following emergency measures should be taken to quickly turn off the flame:
1. After braking and stopping, block the exhaust port with the sole to prevent the exhaust gas from being exhausted. Discharge and fill the cylinder, use it to turn off the flame.
2. Increase the accelerator to full open, so that the rich mixture enters the cylinder and chokes the engine.
3. Hold the clutch handle tightly, put on the first gear, put your left foot on the ground, step on the rear brake pedal with your right foot, then slowly release the clutch handle, and use the braking force to close the engine. The method is easy to damage the parts, and use it as little as possible.
Motorcycle does not ignite
1. Check whether the ignition switch is turned on
Sometimes out of haste or negligence, even if the switch key is inserted, it does not turn on. To the open position, or turn your head, the car will not catch fire. At this time, just press the horn to find out whether the ignition switch is on.
2. Check the oil circuit
First, unplug the oil pipe under the oil tank and connect it to the mineral water bottle, if there is a continuous oil flow, Then the fuel tank is not blocked. If it is blocked, remove the entire fuel tank, pour out the oil, flush it with a high-pressure water gun, and let it air for a few days.
3. Check the spark plug
Remove the high-voltage wire plug, unscrew the spark plug, and check whether the spark plug electrode is dirty. If it is dirty, it needs to be wiped clean, and then insert the high-voltage wire plug into the spark plug, so that the hexagonal part of the spark plug is in contact with the engine casing, and step on the start lever to check the spark condition. If the spark is blue and bright, it is normal; if the spark is dark red and not focused, it is not normal. At this time, in addition to further removing oil stains and carbon deposits, it is also necessary to check whether the electrode gap is too large or too small. Generally 0.5 ~ 0.6mm, approximately equal to the thickness of the saw blade. After the above treatment, if the spark is still not good, or even no spark, you should replace a good spark plug. At the same time, pay attention to whether the spark plug model meets the requirements.
3. Check the cylinder
You can put your hand on the cylinder port, where the spark plug is installed. , If you feel the air rushing out and the thumb is sucking at the same time, then the cylinder is normal.
In addition to this, everything is abnormal. If there is no air to rush out, or no air to enter, the cylinder pressure is abnormal, and the motorcycle cannot be started. At this time, the reasons for this need to be found from the following aspects:
(1) Whether the tightening screws of the cylinder head are loose;
(2) Whether the cylinder gasket or the cylinder head gasket is cracked or leaked
(3) Whether the cylinder is severely pulled, whether the piston ring is broken or stuck in the groove;
(4) Whether the spark plug has a copper washer, and whether the spark plug is tightened.
Old motorcycle stalls
1. Generally, there is blockage or sediment in the oil circuit, just clean it.
2. At a certain point in the ignition circuit, it may be the flameout switch or the igniter, etc., the parts are damaged or broken down by the current, and the temperature rises after working for a period of time, resulting in a short circuit and poor ignition of the spark plug.
3. The reason why the mixed gas of the carburetor is thinner, make the mixed gas slightly thicker, and the screw can be adjusted outwards.
4. Go to the place where the motorcycle is repaired to find a professional technician to see the cause of the flameout.
Motorcycle engine sounds loud
1. The cam interval is too loud, go to a motorcycle repair shop to adjust it.
2. The temperature is high in summer, and winter oil is still used. Choose 20W-50, which has large consistency, low wear and low noise, and is suitable for summer use.
3. The exhaust pipe is connected to the engine If the thread is loose, tighten it.
4. The interval between the cylinder block and the piston is too large, and the cylinder block and piston need to be replaced, some of which are caused by the wear of the piston ring, and the ring piston ring can be used.
Motorcycle engine overheating
1. No matter whether the current vehicle is water-cooled, oil-cooled, or air-cooled, if the quality of the lubricating oil is not up to standard, or the lubricating oil is too little, it will affect the heat dissipation effect of the engine.
2. Too little coolant for a water-cooled engine will weaken the performance of the cooling system, which in turn will affect the heat dissipation effect of the engine.
3. During the use of the motorcycle, the engine will inevitably come into contact with dust and mud. If it is not cleaned in time, the heat dissipation effect of the heat sink will be affected, and the heat dissipation performance of the engine will also be affected. decline.
4. During the use of the motorcycle, if the clutch slips, the engine speed will be kept in a high range, so that the engine temperature will be too high.
5. There will be an oil pump inside the motorcycle. The main function of the oil pump is to transport the lubricating oil to the parts that need to be lubricated. If it is damaged, because of poor lubrication, the temperature of the engine will increase. too high.
6. For water-cooled motorcycles, the effect of the cooling system directly determines the heat dissipation performance of the engine. If a series of supporting parts such as water pumps, radiators, and fans fail, it will cause the engine to overheat. .
7. If the motorcycle is used for a long time with high throttle, high speed, low gear or extreme speed, it will inevitably cause the engine to overheat.
Motorcycle engine fault light is on
1. The vehicle fault light is usually caused by the fuel emission system. You start and turn off the vehicle when the fault light is on, and then start the vehicle after starting and turning off the car three times. You can observe whether the fault light is still on. If it is still on, you need to go to the store to check the fault code in time to see if it is an engine problem or a sensor failure.
2. After the computer receives the parameters of the oxygen sensor, the exhaust emission seriously exceeds the national legal standard, and the internal program of the computer cannot be corrected to the standard range. At this time, the engine control computer will issue a pollution emission exceeding the standard through the instrument. The warning light (yellow pollution light is on) is used to remind the owner to go to the maintenance station to check the engine pollution.
3. Poor combustion state: The main reason for the engine malfunction light to illuminate is the poor combustion state of the engine.
4. False fault. The fault code is reported, but the work is normal. It may be that a certain operation is beyond the control of the computer. The fault code fed back by the computer can be eliminated first, and then check whether there is any fault code.
ps:
The engine fault light is to inform the car owner that there is a fault in the engine system and should be checked and repaired in time. When the engine fault light is on, drive slowly to the nearest repair shop for overhaul.
