1. Medium density board (MDF) or high-density high-quality logs should be used for the speaker material, and granite and concrete can also be used to make the box body. The thickness of the plate is about 15mm to 25mm. If there is no suitable thickness, it can also be glued with double-layer material.

2. Select the appropriate unit diameter for the speaker unit and understand the technical parameters of the unit. Preferably units that have been “paired” by the manufacturer to ensure consistent performance.

3. The principle of box production is that the inner volume (net volume) is the same as the design value. The design value is calculated by applying the relevant formula for the specific speaker unit. The ratio of the length, width and height of the box should not be an integer multiple, and the aesthetics of the appearance should be taken into account. Therefore, when considering adding asphalt slabs or laying asphalt inside, the volume occupied by them should be deducted.

4. The basic requirement of the box is to be sealed and firm, so it is required that the seams of all sides should be neatly butted, no glue leaks, and nails should be added during production. If the butt joint is made of wedge-shaped bayonet, it should be glued and then nailed to be more firm and firm. On the side and front panels, it should also be reinforced with strong ribs (such as 30mm × 40mm hard wood strips).

5. When installing the frequency divider, if you use asphalt board or lay asphalt, you can directly use screws to install it. Otherwise, a soft insulating pad should be used between the cabinet dividers to keep the tightness moderate to prevent vibration coupling with the cabinet, thereby reducing interference. The connecting wire in the box should be made of high-quality oxygen-free copper wire, keep a suitable length and try to fix it to prevent it from swinging greatly.

7. The speaker unit is best installed by digging deep holes and using rubber gaskets to isolate the transmission of harmful vibrations. When fixing the unit and the junction box with self-tapping screws, you should first drill pre-holes on the box body with an electric hand drill. The pre-holes are slightly smaller than the screws, so that the installation is easy and beautiful.

8. It’s best to use “double line”. At this time, the shorting piece of the four-terminal junction box should be removed, and the left and right channels of the power amplifier should be connected with two wires corresponding to the “+” and “-” polarities, which is commonly referred to as “Bi-Wire wiring method”. “Bi-wire” can greatly reduce the crosstalk between bass and treble, and its effect is significantly better than the traditional single-wire connection method. In short, the production of speakers is a relatively meticulous and complex process, and should not be rushed.

9. When wiring, be sure to pay attention to the “+” and “-” marks of the unit and the frequency divider, and connect them according to the method of connecting the positive to the positive and the negative to the negative. When soldering, it is best to use high-quality silver-containing tin, and no virtual soldering or de-soldering can occur.

10. The surface of the box can be treated with real wood veneer or PVC plastic veneer, or can be painted, and the color depends on personal preference. The requirements for the veneer are: firm without bubbles, smooth without wrinkles.
