Lighter maintenance knowledge How to adjust the flame of a lighter

Lighter maintenance knowledge

One, how to adjust the flame of the lighter

1. During use, the flame height will change to a certain extent with the reduction of the gas content of the product and the change of the surrounding temperature. This is a normal phenomenon, and you can adjust the flame height appropriately.

2. When using, the normal flame height should be regulated at: 1.5 – 2.5 cm for windproof and straight-through lighters; 2.5 – 4.0 cm for loud sound, gasoline and open flame lighters.

3. If you need to adjust the flame height, please use a flat-blade screwdriver to align the flame regulator groove; if the lighter itself is equipped with an adjustment ring, you can directly adjust it with your fingers, to (-) Turn clockwise in the direction of the arrow to reduce the flame height; turn in the direction of the (+) arrow counterclockwise to increase the flame height. Note: Rotate counter-clockwise, not more than half a turn from normal flame height. Otherwise, this product may be damaged.

4. Gasoline lighters should control the flame height by adjusting the height of the ignition wick. If the flame height is too high, you can use scissors to cut off the wick a little; if the flame height is too low, you can properly pull out the wick.

Second, the method of refilling lighters

1. When refilling, there must be no sparks or sparks around, to ensure safety. Do not refill while smoking.

2. Qualified butane gas should be used. Poor quality gas may damage the lighter or reduce its service life.

3. When refilling ordinary models, please turn the lighter upside down, align the gas bottle outlet and cover the lighter inlet, and press it several times for about 2 seconds each time; If it cannot be refilled, it may be that there is excess air in the air tank. At this time, you can deflate the air. Use a small screwdriver to align the air inlet to quickly deflate 1-2 times, and then refill.

4. Please use a flat-blade screwdriver and other tools to loosen the screw cover of the air inlet when adding air, and then follow the above steps. After the gas filling, the screw cover can be screwed flat, not too tight; otherwise, the cover will not be compact and the sound of the cover will not be crisp, and the gas will escape. The hardcover loudspeaker should be filled with a special air nozzle.

5. When the gasoline engine is refueling, the head cover should be opened, the movement should be pulled out and reversed, and the outer sponge should be opened to add an appropriate amount of gasoline. After the gasoline penetrates into the inner sponge, cover the outer sponge and cover it again. into the casing.

6. After all kinds of lighters are replenished with fuel, wait at least 1 minute to adjust the temperature of the newly charged gas to room temperature, and wait until the residual gas attached to the outer surface of the lighter is completely volatilized before ignition. If the ignition operation is performed immediately at this time, the residual gas on the surface of the lighter may ignite, causing unnecessary danger. After refilling the gas, if the flame height is too high or too low during use, it is a normal phenomenon, and the flame height can be adjusted appropriately.

Three, how to replace the flint in a lighter

1. When igniting, there are too few sparks to ignite the gas. Replacing the flint should be considered.

2. Ordinary loudspeaker: Use your finger to keep pressing and slide the slider into the cover to the end, invert the lighter, shake it gently, pour out the old flint from the flint slot, and replace it with a new one.

3. Installed loudspeaker and gasoline engine: the flint tightening screw of the hardcover loudspeaker is on the back side of the head cover, and the flint tightening screw of the gasoline engine is at the bottom of the movement, use a flat-blade screwdriver to slowly When unscrewing the tightening screw, be sure to pinch the screw firmly with your fingers to prevent the screw from flying up by the spring below. After replacing the new flint, be sure to also protect the screws and springs with your fingers when screwing in the screws.

4. Verify that it has been operated correctly: ignite quickly to rub the flint, if a lot of sparks can be rubbed out, it means that the flint has been replaced correctly. Otherwise, adjust the screw appropriately so that the flint is in the correct position, and then verify.
