  1. Using a Strong Magnet: Place a strong magnet over the buckle to attract the small bowl and steel ball toward the needle tip, then pull it out. Ensure the magnetic field is strong enough to overcome the spring’s elastic force.
  2. Using Rubber Pliers: Grip the steel needle with rubber pliers, then wiggle it back and forth to loosen it. The steel needle should eventually come out.
  3. Prying with a Knife: The anti-theft buckle consists of an upper and lower plastic section. Use a knife to pry along the seam, then remove and discard the coil and soft cap to fully disassemble the buckle. This method is low-risk and requires minimal effort.
  4. Using Pliers for Clamping: Clamp the anti-theft buckle on a stable surface using pliers. For added support, you can insert a piece of cardboard between the button and the nail. Lightly hit the raised part against the ground; with the right force, the buckle should loosen, with a success rate of about 90%.
  5. Striking with Force: Strike the buckle a few times firmly, which may help release it.
  6. Using a Lighter: Briefly apply heat from a lighter to the top of the buckle; this can help loosen it, making removal easier and more efficient.

How the Anti-Theft Magnetic Buckle Works

An anti-theft buckle attaches to clothing using a steel needle and lock mechanism, typically made up of coils, steel nails, lock cylinders, and a plastic shell. Inside the lock cylinder, iron balls, rings, and springs hold the components securely in place.

Upon close inspection, you’ll notice the steel nail has a series of grooves, with a steel ball positioned in a conical barrel inside a metal bowl, supported by a spring. When the nail is inserted, the steel ball aligns with the nail’s grooves, held tightly by the spring. The conical shape of the metal bowl ensures that increased pulling force only tightens the grip on the nail, making removal by force difficult.

Principle of Releasing the Anti-Theft Magnetic Buckle

To release the anti-theft buckle, the steel ball must move upward. Supermarkets use a powerful magnet to pull the steel ball and cone ring upward, creating enough space for the steel ball to spread outward, allowing the steel needle to slide out easily.

Principle of the Anti-Theft Buckle Alarm

The alarm on an anti-theft buckle operates on LC resonance. The buckle contains a coil and capacitor, while the alarm at store exits features two large coils—one to transmit signals and the other to receive them. When the buckle passes through the detection area, its coil disrupts the magnetic field, altering the current in the receiving coil and triggering the alarm.
