I. Is it necessary to use explosion-proof axial fans?
According to different explosion-proof grades, axial fans can be divided into two types: explosion-proof axial fans and ordinary axial fans. Explosion-proof axial flow fans are composed of explosion-proof motors, blades, air ducts and other components. They have good explosion-proof performance and higher prices. Is it necessary to use explosion-proof axial flow fans?
Generally speaking, explosion-proof axial flow fans are mainly suitable for places with high flammable gas concentration and need to be ventilated, such as underground coal mines and flammable gas transportation in boiler rooms. In ordinary places, explosion-proof fans are not necessary. Axial fans, after all, the price of explosion-proof fans is higher.
2. What is the difference between explosion-proof axial fans and ordinary axial fans?
Explosion-proof axial fans are axial fans with explosion-proof performance, which are different from ordinary axial fans. Compared with other axial flow fans, the difference is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. The gap between the impeller and the casing is different
Explosion-proof shaft The flow fan has a lower limit requirement for the gap between the impeller and the casing, while the ordinary axial flow fan often has an upper limit requirement for the gap in order to pursue efficiency.
2. Different motors are used
The motors used in explosion-proof axial fans are different from ordinary axial fans. Explosion-proof axial fans must use explosion-proof motors. Axial fans generally use ordinary motors.
3. The safety protection requirements of the inlet and outlet are different
The explosion-proof axial fan has stricter requirements for the safety protection of the inlet and outlet. The explosion-proof axial fan adopts the simplest fan structure in which the motor and the impeller are directly connected, which changes the existing coal mining axial fan and adopts a belt drive; or a long shaft drive with a complex structure, which is beneficial to operation and maintenance.
4. Different impellers
In terms of materials, the blades and hubs of explosion-proof axial flow fans are integrally cast from aluminum alloys. Good performance, high efficiency, stable operation to prevent sparks during operation; ordinary axial fan blades and hubs are generally cast iron or other materials.
In addition, explosion-proof axial flow fans have requirements on the material of the impeller and the position of the inner wall of the casing corresponding to the impeller, requiring them to not generate sparks during friction, such as using aluminum blades and iron inner walls, or using iron blades in parallel , the inner wall with aluminum ring. Ordinary axial fans do not have these requirements.
