Analysis on the maintenance and maintenance of copiers

Copiers are a kind of modern office equipment, almost all enterprises and institutions have at least one, because of its degree of automation High, so it is one of the most important equipment in office automation. In addition to its important status, the structure of the copier is also relatively complex – it is a high-tech product combining optics, machinery, electronics, chemistry and computers, and now It has become more and more intelligent. In recent years, digital copiers and new color copiers have appeared. In addition to copying high-definition images, they also have very rich editing functions. There are many other machines. The model can be used online with PC and communication equipment.

Although copiers are developing rapidly, it is inevitable that some failures will occur. In fact, many common failures are not due to the poor quality of copiers themselves, but because they cannot be used in a timely and correct manner. Caused by maintenance, in order to avoid such failures that should not occur, maintenance work is very important for copiers, and even in order to keep copiers in good working condition, prolong their service life, reduce For the purpose of energy and material consumption, we shall also carry out proper maintenance and maintenance. The following author will be divided into eight points to specifically talk about the maintenance and maintenance methods of the copier.

First, do a good job of cleaning the appearance of the copier and keep the copier clean.

There is a lot of dust in the air itself, and the original cover often comes into contact with various originals, and the originals also contain different amounts of paper scraps and dirt. Coupled with the fact that our hands are constantly touching the cover, these factors will gradually turn the white plastic substrate and the conveyor belt black, and at the same time, it will also have a great adverse effect on the quality of the copy, so we need to scrub frequently. Original cover and original glass. As for the cycle of such cleaning, usually every two or three days is enough.

When cleaning, we must use a clean soft cotton gauze (preferably a special cleaning soft cotton) dipped in soapy water and gently wipe (do not use too much force, otherwise it will cause the original glass plate damage) until the stains are removed, and then we need to wipe it several times with a cotton cloth dipped in clean water, and finally dry it with a dry cotton cloth to complete the cleaning. In addition, you must remember not to use alcohol and other solvents for wiping, nor use a rough cloth to avoid scratching and corroding the platen. If there is dirt on the bottom of the original glass, you should remove the original glass and thoroughly cleaning. At the same time, we should also remove the dust on the outer surface of the machine, and put the remaining copy paper into the paper cabinet to avoid moisture and dust absorption, and after using the copier every day, it is best to use a plastic cover or cloth cover to cover the copier. Cover to protect.

In addition, since the original glass plate is very brittle and easily scratched by hard objects, we should try to avoid direct contact with the original glass plate with our hands, and prevent pins and staples from being used. such as hard objects hitting the original glass.

Second, regularly clean the exposure system and photoconductor.

The exposure system is made up of the exposure lamp and its reflector and various reflectors (i.e. optical elements), since the optical elements are all installed inside the copier, it looks like It is isolated from the outside world and will not be polluted. If you think so, then you are wrong, because in order to allow the copier to have good ventilation and heat dissipation, the exhaust fan of the copier must The hot air in the copier is exhausted and the cold air outside is sucked in. This heat dissipation process inevitably brings dust into the machine. At the same time, the toner inside the copier will also float with the flow of the air, so it is said that Optical components are very susceptible to contamination. If the optical parts are polluted, the light path will be blocked and the light will be blocked. At the same time, it will affect the normal operation of charging, transfer printing, and electricity elimination. In order to avoid such situations, we must regularly clean the exposure system.

When cleaning the exposure system, turn off the power of the copier first, then remove the original glass or open the front cover of the copier and use a fine-bristle brush to brush off the dust on the exposure lamp and other optical components, and then Wipe the optics clean with cotton gauze or lens tissue, and you’d better clean the light holder rails and apply a thin coat of oil for extra lubrication. Note: During the cleaning process, the relative position of each optical element must be kept unchanged, so as to avoid unnecessary trouble caused by changing the incident angle and reflection angle.

Because whether the light guide is clean or not directly affects the quality of the copy, and the price of the light guide is relatively high and the surface is very fragile, we should be extra careful when cleaning the light guide: Remove the parts that touch the surface of the photoconductor (such as cleaning device, developing device, transfer electrode, etc.), then wear soft gloves (note: do not touch the surface of the photoconductor directly with your hands), and then cover the photoconductor with a protective cover , then pull out the loading and unloading guide frame by hand and remove the light conductor, then just take it to a place without direct sunlight for cleaning, but when cleaning, we need to use a soft gauze to wipe from one end to the other. , The force must be even. If it is not clean, you can wipe it with a little cleaning solution. When it is cleaned, put it back in place to complete the cleaning work. Note: Usually two months is a maintenance cycle.

Third, clean the cleaner regularly.

The cleaner of the copier is made of man-made fibers. In areas and seasons where the environment is too humid, the waste powder cleaned in the cleaner is easy to agglomerate and stick to the brush. Blocking the powder discharge spiral pipeline will cause the cleaner to fail, and it will also cause the cleaner to leak powder, which will not only contaminate the copy, but also contaminate other components or cause other failures, so we should clean the cleaner in time.

The cleaning method is not very difficult: first remove the cleaner from the copier and unclog the opening of the toner discharge pipe, and then use a soft brush to gently remove the toner stuck on the cleaner. At the same time, we also need to turn the driving gear for powder discharge by hand to discharge the toner, and finally just use the brush to straighten the brush.

When cleaning, be careful not to bend the edge. If the cleaning blade is too dirty, you can wipe it with a little anhydrous alcohol. In addition, do not deform the toner sealing plastic at the lower part of the cleaner, and do not damage the separation claw tips. Note: Usually two months is a maintenance cycle.

Fourth, regularly clean the developing device and the fuser.

If foreign matter enters the developing unit or the developing unit is contaminated, it will affect the developing quality or damage the developing magnetic brush. In addition, when the powder loading port is full of overflowing developer and mixed with wet dust, dirt will fall into the developer, which will deteriorate the developer over time, so we must regularly clean the developer and its accessories. to avoid such situations.

When the fuser is used for a period of time, we need to check whether the fuser unit is contaminated, whether there is any debris inside, whether the silicone oil supply of the fusing upper roller is appropriate, and whether the oil path and linoleum are dirty. and the fixing temperature monitoring part is defective or damaged, etc. The cleaning method of the fuser is also very simple: first take out the fuser from the machine and remove the upper cover, then use absorbent cotton dipped in silicone oil to wipe off the toner remaining on the upper roller from the top, and then turn the gear to clean the rest. Wipe clean. Then let’s clean the lower roller: first remove the paper discharge device and wipe it from the bottom, just remember not to damage the silicon layer on the surface of the lower roller when wiping, and do not use ordinary cleaners. Also, when cleaning the blade, you should remove the oiled felt before proceeding. Note: Usually two months is a maintenance cycle.

V. Lubricate the transmission system regularly.

The transmission system mainly refers to the transmission gears and chains. In severe cases, it will cause failure, so we need to lubricate the transmission system regularly to ensure that it can work normally.

When lubricating, we should first use a soft brush to clean these mechanical parts thoroughly. If only the brush cannot be cleaned, then you can use some gasoline to clean it, and then clean it again. Just put some lube on. Of course, when oiling, you must use the corresponding oil to achieve the effect of lubrication, such as solid butter for gears. If you find that the tightness of the gear and chain is abnormal during the inspection, then you should make some adjustments to make it easy to start, rotate smoothly, work quietly, and not overheat due to friction. Note: Not all places need to be lubricated. For example, the hub of the electromagnetic clutch cannot be lubricated, otherwise it will cause slippage, so as long as you see the place where there is no oil, don’t add oil. Note: It is usually enough to carry out lubricating work once every six months or so.

6. Regularly test the copying effect of the copier to determine whether it is normal.

Copy a few samples regularly with a copier to see if there is any difference between the copy and the original. The comparison includes image density, background gray size, contrast, resolution, layering, starting If there is any obvious difference in the starting line error, separation blank error, whether the image is deformed or missing printing, etc., it must be dealt with accordingly. Note: One or two months to test once on the line.

7. Regularly maintain the paper path.

If the paper path of the copier is not clean, it will affect the paper feeding, feeding and output, etc., and may also cause paper jams. The maintenance cycle of the paper path only needs to be done according to the requirements of the manual. However, if the paper path of the copier is too seriously polluted, then you need to carry out cleaning and maintenance at any time. During maintenance, pay attention to disassemble all components for thorough cleaning. When assembling, it must be reset accurately, and do not change the position of each part at will to avoid unnecessary trouble. Note: Maintenance is usually done once every two months.

8. Regularly check the working condition of the copier.

In addition to regular maintenance, we also need to check the maintenance results to know the performance status of the copier after maintenance:

1. Check whether the status of various indicators on the operation panel is normal, whether the warm-up time meets the regulations, the copier should be easy to start, and the entire system should run smoothly and with low noise;

2. Press one by one. Various operation keys – such as zoom in, scale, zoom out, insert copy, manual paper supply, paper tray selection, etc., to see if the copier can work normally;

3. Check the effect of copying, see the copy Whether it is the same as the original, the content of this inspection is different from the sixth point. This inspection includes background gray, image resolution, image skew, image leading edge offset, synchronization, copy magnification changes, copying Changes in image tone, presence or absence of blank areas and non-image areas, presence or absence of black or white streaks, counters of copiers, etc.

If all of these contents are normal, it means that the copier is working completely normal. If something is not normal, you need to do corresponding maintenance or repair. Note: It is enough to carry out a test every six months or a year.
