Definition and Classification of Fire Emergency Lights

Definitions

This standard adopts the following definitions.

3.1 Fire emergency lamps

Various types of lamps that provide signs and/or lighting for personnel evacuation and firefighting operations when a fire occurs.

3.2 Fire emergency lighting

Fire emergency lighting that provides lighting for personnel evacuation and/or fire fighting operations.

3.3 Fire emergency sign lights

3.4 Fire emergency lights with graphics and/or text to accomplish the following functions:

a) Indicate safety exits and their directions ;

b) Indicate floors, refuge floors and other safe places;

c) Indicate the storage location and direction of fire extinguishers;

d) Indicate no entry passages, places and storage places for dangerous goods.

3.4 Fire emergency lighting signs

Fire emergency lamps with the functions of fire emergency lighting and fire emergency signs at the same time.

3.5 Emergency power source

A non-main power source that supplies power to fire emergency lamps in the event of a fire.

3.6 Self-contained power supply type fire emergency luminaires

Fire emergency luminaires with batteries and inspection devices installed in or near the luminaire (within a distance of 1m).

3.7 Centralized power supply type fire emergency luminaires

Fire emergency luminaires powered by centralized power supply device without independent battery in the luminaire.

3.8 Sub-main power type fire emergency luminaires

A group of fire emergency luminaires that have no independent battery in the sub-fire emergency luminaire but are powered by the parent fire emergency luminaire related to it.

3.9 Independent fire emergency lighting

It is a fire emergency lighting that can independently complete the transition from the main power state to the emergency state.

3.10 Centrally controlled fire emergency lighting

The working state is controlled by the controller.

3.11 Child-Mother-Control Type Fire Emergency Lighting

A group of fire emergency lighting that is controlled by the parent fire emergency lighting to control the emergency state of the child fire emergency lighting.

3.12 Termination voltage

The terminal voltage of the battery when the over-discharge protection part is activated and the fire emergency lamps no longer function as an emergency.

Classification

4.1 According to the emergency power supply form:

a) Self-contained power supply type;

b) Centralized power supply type;

c) Mother and daughter power supply type.

4.2 According to the purpose, it is divided into:

a) Sign light;

b) Lighting light;

c) Lighting, sign light .

4.3 is divided into:

a) continuous type;

b) non-continuous type.

4.4 is divided into:

a) independent type;

b) centralized control type;

c) sub-type Female control type
