What is the water pump used for?
The submersible pump for the fish tank is generally installed in the fish tank as the water flow exchange of the filter device. The main functions are as follows
1. After the water in the fish tank is lifted to the filter tank, it passes through various areas of the filter tank, and then returns to the fish tank to play a role in circulation.
2. The water pump can keep the water in the tank alive through vibration, and play a certain role in maintaining the water quality of the fish tank, so that the water quality of the entire fish tank can reach an ecological balance, which is more conducive to the life of the fish.
3. The presence of the water pump can increase the oxygen in the fish tank and ensure the normal needs of the fish.
Types of fish farming pumps
According to the installation position of the pumps, they can be divided into fish tank pumps and sump pumps.
1. Fish tank pump
The fish tank pump is installed in the fish tank, and its function is to transport the water in the fish tank to the filter tank. The water inlet of the pump has a water inlet pipe and a flower basket. This kind of pump has the ability to absorb stool, and the water suction flower basket can block large dirt and fish, as close to the bottom of the tank as possible, mainly used in the upper filter system.
2. Sump pump
The sump pump is installed in the sump, and its function is to send the filtered water back to the fish tank. The sump pump has no suction pipe and flower basket, and the water inlet has a cover and sponge. Generally, the sump pump has a higher lift.
Usage of fish pump
1. When the submersible pump is used as a filter, the flow rate should be 3~5 times of the total volume of the fish tank. It is an aquarium with 100 liters of water. It is better to choose a submersible pump with a flow rate of 300 liters/hour. Similarly, the suction port also needs to be protected, and a large mesh isolation port is set to prevent the fish from being sucked.
2. Before using the water pump, the user must first check whether the rated voltage marked on the nameplate on the water pump is consistent with the actual voltage used. The power cord of the water pump cannot be replaced. If the power cord is found to be damaged during use, it must not continue to be used. When installing or removing and cleaning the water pump, you must first unplug the power plug and cut off the power supply to ensure safety.
3. The filter basket should be cleaned frequently during use to ensure normal water resistance and good filtering effect. Because it is a submersible pump, the pump must be submerged in water to work, and the pump should not be allowed to run idly outside to avoid damage the pump body.
Does the fish pump need to be turned on all the time?
The water pump in the fish tank needs to be turned on all the time and cannot be stopped. Especially at night, be sure to make sure the water pump is in working condition, otherwise no one will find out if it shuts down at night. Over time, it will easily lead to insufficient oxygen in the fish tank, resulting in the death of the fish in the tank. If you want to keep good fish, water is the most important, so the water in the fish tank must not be stagnant water. In addition to providing sufficient oxygen to the fish, the existence of the water pump can also provide a suitable living environment and make the water in the fish tank alive.
Price of fish pump
The price of home fish pump is not expensive, and it can be bought for dozens of dollars.
Fish raising water pump installation process
1. Put the long sponge in first.
2. Install the leaking parts below and screw them tightly.
3. Put the card part against the sponge on the card slot.
4. Connect the water pump to the long pipe.
5. Install the filter.
6. Connect the hose part of the oxygen injection pipe.
7. Install the oxygen injection port upward at the bayonet.
8. Connect the curved pipe to the oxygen injection port and clamp it.
9. Connect the water filter pipe to the curved pipe, note that there is a row of small holes facing down.
10. Take the power plug out of the fish tank.
