Electric vehicle battery charging mode fully solution electric vehicle charging method
Common charging mode for electric vehicles
1. Conventional charging
1) Concept: After the battery is discharged, it should be charged immediately ( It should not exceed 24h in special cases), the charging current is quite low, the size is about 15A, this kind of charging is called conventional charging (ordinary charging). Conventional battery charging methods all use constant voltage or constant current charging with low current, and the general charging time is 5-8 hours, even as long as 10 to 20 hours.
2) Advantages and disadvantages: Because the rating of the power and current used is not critical, the cost of the charger and installation is relatively low; it can make full use of the low power period for charging, reducing the cost of charging; it can improve the charging efficiency and prolong battery life. The main disadvantage of the conventional charging mode is that the charging time is too long, which is difficult to meet when there is an emergency operation demand.
Second, fast charging
Fast charging, also known as emergency charging, uses a large current for a short period of time within 20 minutes to 2 hours after the electric vehicle is parked , to provide short-term charging services, the general charging current is 150 ~ 400A.
1) Concept: The charging method of conventional batteries generally takes a long time, which brings a lot of inconvenience to actual use. The emergence of fast-charging batteries provides technical support for the commercialization of pure electric vehicles.
2) Advantages and disadvantages: short charging time; long life of rechargeable battery (more than 2000 times of charging); no memory, can charge and discharge in large capacity, and can charge 70% to 80% in a few minutes % of electricity; because charging can make the battery storage capacity reach 80%-90% in a short period of time (about 10-15 minutes), which is similar to the refueling time, therefore, the construction of corresponding charging stations may not be equipped with large-area parking lots. However, compared with the conventional charging mode, fast charging also has certain disadvantages: the charging efficiency of the charger is low, the work and installation costs are high, and the charging current is large, which is especially considered.
Three, mechanical charging
1) Concept: that is, the battery pack quick replacement system. The purpose of charging the electric vehicle is achieved by directly replacing the battery pack of the electric vehicle. Due to the heavy weight of the battery pack, the professional requirements for battery replacement are strong, and professionals need to be equipped to quickly complete the replacement, charging and maintenance of the battery with the help of professional machinery.
2) Advantages and disadvantages: Electric vehicle users can rent a fully charged battery and replace the exhausted battery, which is conducive to improving the efficiency of vehicle use, and also improves the convenience and speed of user use; The down-charged battery can be charged in the low valley period, which reduces the charging cost and improves the economical operation of the vehicle; it solves the problems of charging time and even the amount of stored charge, battery quality, long driving range and price; it can be timely found in the battery pack. The problem of single battery, maintenance work will have positive significance for the maintenance of the battery, and the reduction of the depth of discharge of the battery pack will also help to improve the life of the battery.
