Safety operation rules for generators
1. For newly installed generators, the insulation resistance and absorption ratio of the stator and excitation circuit should be measured before use, and the insulation resistance of the stator should not be low. At 30% of the last measured value, the insulation resistance of the excitation circuit shall not be less than 0.5MΩ, and the absorption ratio shall not be less than 1.3, and the measurement record shall be made.
2. Check the transmission parts of the internal combustion engine and the generator before operation. The connection should be reliable, the wires of the output line are well insulated, and the instruments are complete and effective.
3. Before starting, put the resistance value of the excitation rheostat at the maximum position, then cut off the main switch of the power supply and output, and connect the neutral grounding switch. For units with clutches, the internal combustion engine should be started at no-load operation, and the generator should be connected after it is normal.
4. After starting, check that the alternator should have no abnormal noise during the speed-up, the brushes on the slip ring and the commutator are in good contact, and there is no jumping or sparking. After the operation is stable and the frequency and voltage reach the rated value, the power can be supplied to the outside. The load should be gradually increased, and the three phases should be kept in balance.
5. After the generator starts to run, it should be considered that all electrical equipment has been charged.
6. The maximum and minimum allowable voltage values for generator continuous operation shall not exceed ±10% of the rated value. The voltage fluctuation range of its normal operation should be within ±5% of the rated value. When the power factor is the rated value, the rated capacity of the generator should remain unchanged.
7. When the generator runs at the rated frequency, its variation range shall not exceed ±0.5Hz.
8. The power factor of the generator shall not exceed 0.95 of the late phase (lag). If there is an automatic excitation adjustment device, it can run under the condition that the power factor is 1, and if necessary, it can be allowed to run within the range of 0.95-1 of the delayed phase for a short time.
9. During the operation of the generator, it is necessary to check and confirm that each instrument indication and each running part are normal, and the load of the generator should be adjusted at any time. The stator and rotor current must not exceed the allowable value.
10. Before shutdown, cut off the main switch of each power supply shunt, gradually reduce the load, then cut off the main switch of the generator power supply, reset the excitation rheostat to the maximum resistance position, and reduce the voltage to the minimum value. Then cut off the excitation switch and the neutral grounding switch, and finally stop the internal combustion engine.
