There are two ways to set the frequency of a wireless KTV microphone. One method involves adjusting the microphone’s frequency directly, while the other involves adjusting the frequency on the receiving host to match the microphone. As long as the microphone’s frequency matches the receiving host’s frequency, the microphone will function correctly. Adjusting the microphone’s frequency to match the host is generally straightforward.

  1. Power On: Turn on both the wireless KTV microphone and the receiving host. The display screens on each device will show the current channel and frequency. In most cases, some wireless KTV systems automatically match the frequency and channel via infrared scanning. Check to confirm the frequency match.
  2. Automatic Frequency Pairing: If the microphone and receiving host have automatically tuned to the same frequency, no further action is required. However, if there’s no automatic pairing, you’ll need to manually adjust the frequency on either the microphone or the receiving host. Match the frequency displayed on the microphone with the frequency shown on the host’s panel using the frequency adjustment button. Once the frequencies align, the host will start receiving the microphone’s audio signal.

Notes:

  • Frequency tuning on the wireless KTV microphone is only effective when paired with a compatible receiving host. Without the host, adjusting the microphone’s frequency alone has no effect.
  • If manual frequency adjustment is inconvenient, consider tuning the frequency on the microphone to match the host.

2. Types of Wireless KTV Microphones

Wireless microphones are categorized based on the transmission standard they use, typically FM, VHF, or UHF.

  1. FM Wireless Microphones: Early consumer-grade wireless microphones used FM transmission, which is a simple and low-cost system. However, due to limited performance, FM microphones do not meet professional quality standards.
  2. VHF Wireless Microphones: These microphones operate in low and high-frequency ranges within the VHF band. While this type initially gained popularity, it’s prone to interference from various electrical sources, and the long antenna length can be cumbersome. As a result, high-frequency VHF microphones have largely replaced low-frequency models, which are now rarely used.
  3. UHF Wireless Microphones: Operating in the 300-3000 MHz range, UHF microphones have become the mainstream choice in the 21st century. They avoid interference from VHF devices, resulting in improved stability and higher-quality audio.
