How to use the chain saw

Precautions for the use of chain saws, how to use high-branch chainsaws

Notes for use of chainsaws, how to use high-branch chainsaws

Notes

1. The recommended mixing ratio of fuel is 50:1 to 25:1 (must be mixed with high-quality air-cooled two-stroke oil), and the 10%~30% diesel oil (kerosene or light oil) should be added to the lubricating oil for mixing before use to ensure proper concentration. Its proportion should be determined according to the amount of oil ejected from the saw chain, but it should be within the range of 10% to 30%.

Second, the idle speed should be adjusted according to the actual situation of the machine. The idle speed range is generally: 2800~3500 rpm. It should be noted that for the sake of safety, the idle speed of the machine is 1.25 times. Should be less than the machine’s clutch speed (the engine speed at which the saw chain starts running). Generally, two-stroke mechanical fuel is mixed with gasoline oil (the oil is special oil for two-stroke engines). The ratio of gasoline to oil is about 25:1, depending on the usage. High-speed operation can properly increase the concentration. If the high-speed rotation is often maintained during use, the concentration should be appropriately reduced, and more oil should be put in to ensure the normal lubrication of the internal running parts of the cylinder, but attention should be paid to remove the muffler in time and remove the exhaust. The carbon deposits in the road, so as to avoid too much carbon deposits into the cylinder body, causing the cylinder to pull.

High-branch chainsaw

The high-branch chainsaw for short is one of the garden machines commonly used for tree pruning in landscaping. It is a kind of machinery that is difficult and dangerous to operate by one person. Therefore, how to use the high branch saw correctly is very important.

The following introduces several issues that should be paid attention to in use for reference

⒈When starting, the choke door should be opened when the car is cold, and the car should be warmed up When the choke valve is not needed, the manual oil pump can be pressed more than 5 times at the same time.

⒉ Put the machine motor support and shackle on the ground, put it in a safe position, put the shackle in a higher position if necessary, remove the chain protection device, the chain can not touch the ground or other objects.

⒊Choose a safe position to stand firmly, press the machine on the ground at the fan casing with your left hand, thumb under the fan casing, do not step on the protective tube or kneel on the machine.

⒋ Pull out the starting rope slowly until it stops, and then pull it out quickly and forcefully after it bounces back.

⒌If the carburetor is properly adjusted, the cutting tool chain cannot rotate at idle speed.

⒍The accelerator should be pulled to the idling or small accelerator position when there is no load to prevent the phenomenon of speeding; the accelerator should be large when working.

⒎When all the oil in the fuel tank is used up and refueling, the manual oil pump should be pressed at least 5 times before restarting.

Notes during operation

⒈When trimming, cut the mouth first, and then cut the mouth to prevent the saw from being caught.

⒉When cutting, the branches below should be cut first. Heavy or large branches should be cut in sections.

⒊ When operating, hold the operating handle tightly with your right hand, hold your left hand on the handle naturally, and stretch your arm as straight as possible. The angle formed by the machine and the ground should not exceed 60°, but the angle should not be too low, otherwise it will not be easy to operate.

⒋In order to avoid damaging the bark, the machine rebounding or the saw chain being clamped, when cutting thick branches, first saw a load relief cut on the lower side, that is, cut a cut out under the end of the guide plate Arc cut.

⒌If the diameter of the branch is more than 10 cm, first make a pre-cut, make an unloading cut and a cutting cut about 20 to 30 cm from the desired cut, and then use a branch saw to cut there.

Inspection before using the chain saw

⒈Check the tension of the saw chain frequently. Please turn off the engine and wear protective gloves when checking and adjusting. When the tension is suitable, the chain can be pulled by hand when the chain is hung on the lower part of the guide plate.

⒉There must always be a little oil splashed on the chain. The chain lubrication and oil level in the oil tank must be checked every time before work. Chains must not work without lubrication, as working with dry chains will result in damage to the cutting device.

⒊ Never use old oil. Old oil cannot meet the lubrication requirements and is not suitable for chain lubrication.

⒋If the oil level in the fuel tank does not drop, it may be that the lubrication delivery is faulty. The chain lubrication should be checked and the oil circuit should be checked. A poor oil supply can also result from a contaminated filter screen. The lubricating oil screen in the oil tank and pump connecting line should be cleaned or replaced.

⒌After replacing and installing a new chain, the saw chain needs 2 to 3 minutes of running-in time. Check chain tension after break-in and readjust if necessary. A new chain requires more frequent tensioning than a chain that has been used for a while. The saw chain must be attached to the lower part of the guide bar when it is cold, but the saw chain can be moved over the upper guide bar by hand. Re-tension the chain if necessary. When the working temperature is reached, the saw chain expands and sags slightly, and the transmission joint at the lower part of the guide plate cannot be disengaged from the chain groove, otherwise the chain will jump and the chain needs to be re-tensioned.

⒍The chain must be relaxed after work. Chains shrink as they cool, and a chain that doesn’t loosen can damage the crankshaft and bearings. If the chain is tensioned under working conditions, the chain will shrink when it cools, and if the chain is too tight, the crankshaft and bearings will be damaged.

About the choice of oil for chain saws

⒈The gasoline can only use unleaded gasoline above 90. When adding gasoline, the fuel tank cap and the surrounding area of the fuel filler opening must be cleaned before refueling to prevent debris from entering the fuel tank. The high branch saw should be placed on a flat place with the fuel tank cap facing upwards. Don’t let gasoline spill out when refueling, and don’t overfill the fuel tank. After refueling, be sure to tighten the fuel tank cap as hard as you can by hand.

⒉ Oil can only use high-quality two-stroke engine oil. It is best to use two-stroke engine oil for high-branch saw engines to ensure that the engine has a long service life. When using other two-stroke engine oils, the model should be of tc grade quality. Poor quality gasoline or oil can damage the engine, seals, oil passages and fuel tank.

⒊The mixing ratio of gasoline and engine oil: the two-stroke engine oil used for the high branch saw engine is 1:50, that is, 1 part of oil plus 50 parts of gasoline; when using other engine oil that meets the tc level, it is 1 : 25, that is, 1 part oil plus 25 parts gasoline. The mixing method is to first pour the oil into a fuel tank that allows fuel, then pour the gasoline, and mix it evenly. The gasoline-oil mixture will age, and the general configuration should not exceed one month’s use. Special attention should be paid to avoid direct contact between gasoline and skin, and avoid breathing the gas volatile from gasoline.

⒋The head of the gasoline suction pipe should be replaced regularly every year.

Maintenance strategy for chainsaws

⒈The running-in period from the start of use until the third oil filling period of the newly-produced machine, do not let the engine Runs at high speed with no load so as not to put extra strain on the engine during break-in. In the running-in stage, all movable parts must be adjusted to each other, and there will be a large frictional resistance between the driving parts. Generally, the high branch saw engine reaches its maximum power after 5 to 15 times of oil filling.

⒉ After long-term full-load operation during the working period, let the engine do a short period of idling, and let the cooling airflow take away most of the heat, so that the driving device components (ignition device, carburetor) will not accumulate due to heat bring adverse consequences.

⒊Maintenance of air filter. Adjust the damper to the choke position to prevent dirt from entering the intake pipe. Wash the foam filter in a clean, non-flammable cleaning solution (such as hot soapy water) and dry. Replace the felt filter, tap or blow lightly when it is not too dirty, but the felt filter cannot be cleaned. Note that damaged filter elements must be replaced. When installing, pay attention to insert the felt filter into the filter housing with the marked side facing inwards.

⒋Check the spark plug. If there is insufficient engine power, difficulty in starting, or idling failure, first check the spark plugs. Clean the contaminated spark plug, check the electrode distance, the correct distance is 0.5mm, adjust if necessary. In order to avoid sparks and fire hazards, if the spark plug has a separate joint, be sure to screw the nut onto the thread and tighten it, pressing the spark plug plug firmly on the spark plug.

If the high branch saw is not used for more than 3 months, it should be stored as follows.

⒈Empty the fuel tank in a ventilated place and clean it.

⒉ Dry the carburetor, otherwise the carburetor pump film will stick, which will affect the next start.

⒊Remove saw chain and guide, clean and inspect.

⒋ Thoroughly clean the entire machine, especially the cylinder fins and air filter.

⒌If you use chain lubricating oil, fill up the lubricating oil tank.

⒍The machine should be stored in a dry and safe place to prevent unrelated persons (such as children).

What safety should I be aware of when working with a chainsaw?

⒈ Wear work clothes and corresponding labor protection equipment as required, such as helmets, protective glasses, gloves, work shoes, etc., and brightly colored vests.

⒉ The engine should be turned off during transportation.

⒊The engine must be turned off before refueling. When there is no fuel in the heat engine during work, it should be stopped for 15 minutes, and the engine should be cooled before refueling.

⒋Check the operating safety of the high branch saw before starting.

⒌ When starting the high branch saw, you must keep a distance of more than three meters from the refueling point. Do not use a high branch saw in an enclosed room.

⒍Do not smoke when using or near the machine to prevent fire.

⒎When working, be sure to use both hands to hold the high branch saw steadily. You must stand firm and pay attention to the danger of slipping.
