[Laminating Machine]What is the Laminating Machine Principle and How to Use the Laminating Machine
Laminating Machine
Lamination is to coat plastic film with adhesive, and combine it with the printed matter using paper as the substrate, after being pressed by a rubber roller and a heating roller, to form a paper-plastic integrated product. The laminated printed matter has a thin and transparent plastic film on the surface, which makes the surface smoother and brighter, which not only improves the gloss and fastness of the printed matter, but also prolongs the service life of the printed matter. Antifouling, wear resistance, folding resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and other protective effects. If a transparent and bright film is used for lamination, the printing images and texts of lamination products are more vivid in color and have a three-dimensional sense, which is especially suitable for the packaging of green food and other commodities, which can arouse people’s appetite and consumption desire. If a matte film is used for lamination, the lamination product will bring a noble and elegant feeling to consumers. Therefore, the packaged printed matter after lamination can significantly improve the grade and added value of commodity packaging.
Mechanical Introduction
Laminating machines can be divided into two categories: instant coating laminating machines and pre-coating laminating machines. The ready-to-coat laminating machine includes three parts: gluing, drying and hot pressing. It has a wide range of applications and stable and reliable processing performance. Pre-coating type laminating machine, without gluing and drying parts, small size, low cost, flexible and convenient operation, not only suitable for laminating processing of large batches of prints, but also suitable for laminating of small batches and scattered prints such as automated desktop office systems Processing, very promising.
The laminating machine is divided into three parts: gluing, drying tunnel and hot pressing.
1. The gluing part. The gluing part is equipped with an adjusting device to adjust the amount of gluing to meet the requirements of different printed parts. The gluing roller adopts rubber roller or steel roller.
2. Baking tunnel part. The drying tunnel is generally 2-3m long. The drying tunnel of the laminating machine is equipped with infrared lamps and electric fans. There are high-power electric heating pipes and exhaust fans on the upper part of the drying tunnel of the automatic laminating machine, and the temperature can be adjusted to dry the adhesive and remove exhaust gas.
3. Hot pressing part. This part is the key to lamination and is directly related to the bonding fastness of lamination products. The principle of hot pressing is that the adhesive can quickly infiltrate and penetrate into the surface layer of the printed part in the molten state, so as to obtain a strong bonding interface layer. The hot pressing part consists of a set of rollers. One of the hollow metal drums is equipped with electric heating tubes, and the temperature can be controlled automatically. This set of roller pressures can be adjusted.
Principle of use
(1) The use of ready-to-coat film as the cover can protect the paper. After lamination, the service life of the cover (or the surface of the printed product) can be extended, especially for students’ textbooks, so the dosage is increasing.
(2) The imprint is not easy to be damaged. After using the instant coating film and laminating, it can increase the color effect and protect the color printed graphics and text, and prevent it from being worn. This helps the editors of the publishing house to make various artistic designs on the cover or the surface of the printed product according to their needs, thus also promoting the increase in usage.
(3) The production of coating film is very profitable. In laminating, that is, the cost of coating film production is low, easy to start, and profitable, and enterprises can benefit.
Even if the coating film is “hot”, few people pay attention to the quality problems of the coating film and the influence on the binding quality, which will be further analyzed below.
The main problems of the covers and sheets after lamination are:
Surface blistering, wrinkling, uneven bending, peeling off Separation, difficult to store, etc., these quality problems have not been solved for many years, and the reasons are also various, such as:
1. The influence of different types of paper.
2. The influence of different ink colors.
3. The influence of different climates.
4. The influence of environment and conditions.
5. The enterprise lacks the influence of scientific management.
6. The influence of personnel quality.
How to use
The laminating machine laminating machine is divided into two categories according to different equipment and processes, one is “coating film”, the other is One is “pre-coating film”; among them, there are two kinds of light-splitting film and sub-film.
Instant film coating is a process of paper-plastic lamination using the instant coating laminating machine to immediately paste the film with the glue. It is mainly produced by the coating film processing factory or processing workshop. According to the needs, the roll plastic film is coated with adhesive, then dried (slightly) compounded, and the paper film is adhered together to form a film-coated product after being pressed. That is, there are two types of coating equipment, automatic and semi-automatic, and their basic working principles are the same; the process flow mainly includes unwinding → gluing coating → drying → compounding → slitting → finished product accumulation.
1. Unwinding
2. Glue coating
A, roller reverse type; B, concave type; C, no blade roller extrusion; D. There is a direct type scraper.
3. Drying
A, evaporation; B, thermalization; C, solvent exclusion.
4. Compounding
A, hot pressing roller; B, rubber pressure roller; C, pressure adjustment.
5. Printing input
6. Recover stacking
Mechanical function
1. Non-stop Paper feeder to ensure continuous production.
2. Large-diameter lamination rollers are used, which effectively increases the production speed and ensures smooth and bright composite products.
3. The powder removal mechanism combining powder sweeping and powder pressing is adopted to ensure the powder removal effect. (Configure powder removal device)
4. The advanced drying tunnel structure ensures that the glue on the film can be dried quickly.
5. The speed-adjustable disc-type rotary cutter ensures paper cutting.
6. The motor adopts frequency conversion control, which is safe and reliable.
Laminating process
Laminating process is a surface processing technology after printing, also known as post-printing plastic, post-printing lamination Glue or post-print filming refers to a product processing technology that uses a laminating machine to cover a layer of 0.012-0.020mm thick transparent plastic film on the surface of the printed product to form a paper-plastic integration. The laminating machine is the equipment used to complete the laminating process. Generally speaking, according to the process used, it can be divided into two types: namely coating film and pre-coating film, and according to different film materials, it can be divided into two types: bright film and matt film.
The main problems that affect the lamination process: affect the health of operators and cause fire hazards; the paper and film materials after lamination are difficult to recycle and waste resources.
