Content of frostbite prevention and treatment
Frostbite is the most common local injury among those in distress in cold regions. Local frostbite itself is not fatal, but its consequences are extremely serious. Many people who died in danger in cold areas lost their ability to move because of frostbite, were unable to carry out various survival activities, and finally died of hypothermia. In fact, as long as those in distress take appropriate precautions, frostbite can be avoided or alleviated. It should be known that preventing frostbite is much easier than treating frostbite, and it must be prevented before it happens. The method is as follows:
· There is no obvious feeling of partial frostbite in the early stage, so the parts prone to frostbite should be closely observed. If there are more than two people, you can observe each other’s face for white spots.
· The neck and face should be surrounded with cloth, and the cuffs and trousers should be tightly tied to prevent wind and snow from blowing in. Do not sit and lie on the snow when you are tired and hungry. You may never get up if you sit and lie down.
· In order to prevent frostbite, it is necessary to move the facial muscles in time, such as frowning, winking, grinning, etc., and rubbing the face, ears, nose and other parts with hands. Pay special attention to the drying of shoes and socks. If you sweat a lot, you should change or dry them in time, because frostbite is most likely to occur in wet conditions.
