[Player Installation] How to Download and Install the Player
Steps for Installing the Player
1. Download and Install
When downloading software, the biggest concern is accidentally downloading junk files or viruses. To avoid this, always enable your security software when downloading. If you have antivirus software or access to a trusted software library, you can use those resources to search for and download the player directly.
Note: Avoid using “one-click download/install” options, as they can sometimes include unwanted software. Instead, select options like “go to plug-in installation” or simply “install.”
2. Custom Installation/Change Installation Path
After downloading, do not proceed with the default installation immediately. Instead, modify the default installation path to avoid putting everything on the C drive, which can quickly consume disk space.
Select [Custom Installation] or [Change], then choose a location with sufficient storage for the installation.
3. Installation Process
Before starting the installation, review any additional options that may be pre-checked by default. Some software may include additional downloads that install automatically if you don’t deselect them.
Once you’re ready, click [Install Now] and wait a few minutes for the installation to complete.
4. Set the Resolution
To set the video playback quality, go to the [Settings] button in the upper-right corner and select the “Play” interface. Here, you can choose the default playback resolution, typically set to either “Smooth” or “HD,” or you can let it “Automatically match current network conditions.”
Note: Only one option can be selected; if you choose the automatic setting, you won’t be able to adjust the resolution manually.
5. Set Download/Save Path
In the “Play” interface, you can also adjust the save path, the maximum number of concurrent downloads, and the default download resolution. To enable automatic startup for the player, go to “Advanced” settings, where you can also disable unnecessary notifications or information displays.
With these settings configured, you can safely download the video or audio files you need. Just remember not to restrict your internet speed for the best download experience.
