Once you encounter a beast, you should quickly force yourself to calm down and look it in the eye so it can’t see your next move. You want to be vigilant, but don’t take the initiative to attack, you will expose yourself. Don’t turn your back on each other, doing so in nature is a sign that you are the hunted. Facing each other, step back slowly. At the same time, you can’t let it see that you want to run away (in nature, when some animals back up, it means that it is ready to attack, and beasts know this). If it follows up then it should stop backing immediately. Note: When backing up, you must walk slowly and at a constant speed. Don’t run fast even if the opponent is not approaching – this is the world of wild animals, which can easily catch up with you. When you run fast, it means that you are being hunted. . Try not to climb the tree as much as possible (unless it doesn’t find you, or you are confident that the backup team can arrive in time.), climbing the tree means retreating, and beasts are good at waiting.
If it doesn’t think you’re food, and sees that you can’t harm it, watch it and then it will leave. All you have to do is find a way to make it understand both.
Bears
We often hear about bears breaking into the camp, because people used to feed the bears with their own food, and then they put their own food into danger. Prohibited. But the bear doesn’t know this, and he still thinks your camping lunch box is for him, so he’s in for a treat.
It should be noted that the bear will not take the initiative to hurt people, and people are not delicious in its eyes.
1. Generally, there are only two situations in which you actively attack humans: you stand between the mother bear and the cubs (mother-child problem);
2. You stand between the bear and the bear between food. So when you’re traveling in a bear-infested area, it’s best to wear a bell on your body and whistle along the way, the bear can hear it, know it’s a (terrifying) human coming, and will avoid it.
But it must be remembered: the fairy tale “playing dead on the ground” is absolutely unworkable, because someone has tried it, and the result is: he slaps the bear, And after losing a large piece of scalp, he jumped up and shouted and climbed up the tree. Of course, the bear wasn’t idle while he was climbing the tree??it was frightened away by the roar.
Dogs
Dogs are generally cute and won’t bite you as long as you don’t mess with them. Except for mad dogs. When you see a dog on the road with its head down and its tongue sticking out, stay away from it.
When the dog is chasing, crouch down immediately and pick up the stone and throw it at it. In fact, you just need to remember to “squat”, whether there are rocks or not. The dog will run away immediately. (except police dogs)
Wolves
Wolves are the most dangerous animals. A single wolf is not dangerous, however, wolves are mostly group activities. If you find only one wolf on the road, don’t despise it, especially when it follows far away – wolves rarely attack alone. After following the prey, leave a mark on the way to attract more wolves to join, and they will attack at night. Get back to the road or to a safe camp as soon as possible when you spot a wolf following. Wolves are afraid of fire and can use this to escape. Don’t think that you can escape by killing the following wolf. On the contrary, this will only lead to the hatred of the wolves. When the wolves want revenge or want to rescue the captured wolf, they will call other wolves (until they think until there is absolute strength to win) to attack together, at this time, the fire cannot make it retreat.
Ancient Indian tribes circulated such a piece of advice: Never harm wild animals for no reason, nature is their world, nature also has “laws”, and wolves are its envoys.
Snakes
It is a common method to scare snakes in the grass. In some damp grasses, forests and bushes, or before and after heavy rain, snakes are infested place and time. Whether there is a snake or not, you should take a stick and hit the grass as you walk, so that the snake will frighten and flee. When camping in the camp, if it is necessary to prevent snakes, you should bring some realgar powder and other snake-repellent objects and sprinkle them around the tent or camp to avoid snakes. If the snake has been alerted and stands up to attack, don’t panic, stay still, slowly take out something like a handkerchief, and throw it away to distract the snake’s attention. Then, either use Kill it with a long stick with a fork, or avoid it.
Leech
Leech is divided into dryland leech and water leech. Dryland leeches generally grow in moist, low-altitude (below 3000 meters) places, and are mostly active on the grass beside roads. When people pass by, they will be alerted. The first person is often fine, and the person behind will be “sticky” by its sucker if not paying attention, and will quickly climb to the skin.
There are two ways to prevent leeches:
1. One is to prevent, that is, to tie the trousers tightly, sprinkle some balsamic essence, and apply some panacea on the legs and hands and other stimulant drugs. If you are in an area with many leeches, you should also check it from time to time (roll up your trousers sleeves).
2. One is a struggle, that is, simply roll up your sleeves (hands and trousers) to expose the skin. Once there is a leech bite, it will be easy to detect (the leech is usually dark brown), then bold Pull it off with your hands (with your fingernails or fireworks
), then squeeze it in your hands and rub it until it dries.
