1. What is blended yarn
Yarn is an indispensable product for making all kinds of textile products. Now there are many kinds of yarns on the market. The difference in raw materials and processes can be simply divided into pure spinning and blended yarn. Today we mainly introduce blended yarn, so what is blended yarn?
What is a blended yarn? As the name implies, blended yarn is a yarn made of two or more fibers as raw materials, which are distributed and adjusted according to different proportions and processed through a certain process. With the continuous progress of fiber production technology, many new fiber materials are used to make blended yarns, which greatly enriches the types of blended yarn products. Now the more common blended yarns on the market are cotton yarn polyester, silk yarn viscose, nitrile yarn Yarn cashmere, acrylic yarn nitrile, soybean fiber wool, etc.
Second, what is the blending ratio of the blended yarn
The blending ratio of the yarn affects the appearance and performance of the fabric, as well as the product quality. Therefore, the blending ratio should be determined according to the use and requirements of the product.
1. The blending ratio of polyester and cotton in polyester/cotton fabrics should be 65:35. Although the wrinkle recovery and abrasion resistance of the fabric were significantly improved with the increase of the polyester blending ratio, the hygroscopicity and air permeability of the fabric gradually deteriorated, and the electrostatic effect also increased. However, if the outerwear fabric is required to be stiff, the proportion of polyester can be increased, and the underwear fabric should be comfortable to wear, and a low proportion of polyester-cotton blend can be used.
2. For polyester/viscose fabrics blended with medium and long fibers, the blending ratio of polyester and viscose is often 65:35. If the viscose content exceeds 50%, the wrinkle recovery and morphological stability of the product will deteriorate. If you can mix about 15% nylon in the polyester-viscose blended fabric, the fabric will be more wear-resistant.
3, The commonly used blending ratio of polyester and nitrile is 50:50, and 60:40 is also useful. The medium-length polyester/nitrile fabric has a good wool feel, but the static electricity phenomenon is relatively serious. When it exceeds 65%, the reduction is more significant.
