Frequency problems and maintenance of rice cooker
Fault 1: Plug in the power plug, the power fuse will blow immediately
Reason and maintenance:
1. Water or rice soup enters the power socket of the rice cooker, causing a short circuit. In this case, you can continue to use it after drying the water in the socket;
2. The surface of the electric socket or plug of the rice cooker is short-circuited due to carbonization due to long-term use. In this case, the carbonized layer on the surface can be polished off with fine sandpaper and wiped with alcohol.
Fault 2: Can’t keep warm after cooking
Reason and maintenance: This fault may be the normally closed insulation switch The surface of the contact is dirty or ablated, so that the contact resistance of the contact is too large, causing the contact to close and the circuit to fail, the heating tube does not heat, and the rice cooker cannot keep warm. At this time, the contact surface can be cleaned with fine sandpaper and then plated with a layer of tin. If it still does not keep warm, replace the keep warm switch.
Fault three: cooking rice
Cause and maintenance: This fault may be the sintering of the normally closed contact of the insulation switch Stick together, although the rice has been cooked and the temperature limiter has jumped down, the heat preservation switch continues to energize the heating tube, and the rice is simmered. At this point, you can use a knife to separate the contacts, and then clean the surface of the contacts with fine sandpaper.
Fault 4: Cooking uncooked rice
Cause and maintenance: This fault is generally the magnetic force of the permanent magnetic ring in the temperature limiter caused by weakening. At this time, the temperature limiter of the rice cooker can be disassembled to check whether the magnetic ring is broken and how the suction force is. If the permanent magnetic ring is broken, the temperature limiter of the same type must be replaced; if the suction force is reduced, the temperature adjustment screw on the temperature limiter can be adjusted, and each adjustment is 1/4 turn, and one trial cooking is performed once.
Fault 5: Can’t cook rice
Reason and maintenance:
1. The source wire is open circuit . Use the ohm stop of the multimeter to check the power lead;
2. The current limiting resistor is blown. At this time, the resistance can be checked with the ohm stop of the multimeter. If the resistor is blown, it must be replaced by a current-limiting resistor of the same type, not directly by a wire;
3. The heating tube is blown. A rice cooker without a current limiting resistor works for a long time and burns out the heating tube. At this time, use the ohm stop of the multimeter to check the heating tube. If the circuit is open, it must be replaced together with the heating plate.
Fault 6: The heat preservation light is on, and the cooking light is off
Reason and maintenance:
1 , The heating plate does not heat up, and the power cord is not good;
2. The heating plate does not heat up, generally the contacts of the metal sheet switch are ignited and oxidized, as long as the contacts are polished with sandpaper or a small file;
3. Heat the heating plate, check the cooking indicator and current limiting resistor.
