[Exhaust Fan]Use of Exhaust Fan Exhaust Fan Operation and Maintenance Exhaust Fan Operation Steps

Exhaust fans are also called side-flow blowers, centrifugal blowers, and small blowers. A general-purpose air source for both blowing and suction, usually used for suction of mechanical equipment, so the name implies also called exhaust fan.

Use of the exhaust fan

From the perspective of ventilation principle, the exhaust fan is divided into four types: high, medium, low and negative pressure. The series of negative pressure fans are commonly designed with CAD/CAM, featuring low noise, low power consumption, large air volume, stable operation, long service life, high efficiency, and an automatic opening and closing system for louvers to achieve waterproof, dust-proof and beautiful appearance. specialty. The negative pressure exhaust fan is widely used: the negative pressure exhaust fan is installed outside the window of the workshop. Generally, the downwind vent is selected, and the air is drawn out to extract the odorous gas; it can be used in basically all places that require ventilation.

Use with wet pads

Used as workshop cooling in hot summer, no matter how hot your workshop is, the wet pad-negative pressure fan system can make The temperature in your workshop drops to around 30°C, and there is a certain humidity.

Scope of application

A. Suitable for workshops with high temperature or odor: such as heat treatment plants, casting plants, plastic plants, aluminum extrusion plants, shoe-making plants factory, leather goods factory, electroplating factory, various chemical factories.

B. Applicable to employee-intensive enterprises: such as garment factories, various assembly workshops, and Internet cafes.

C. It is suitable for ventilation and cooling in horticultural greenhouses and livestock farms.

D. It is especially suitable for places that need cooling and a certain humidity. Such as cotton spinning factory, wool spinning factory, hemp spinning factory, weaving factory, chemical fiber factory, warp knitting factory, texturing factory, knitting factory, silk weaving factory, socks factory and other textile factories.

E. It is suitable for warehousing and logistics.

F. It is suitable for kitchens and dining halls with a lot of oily smoke and sultry smell.

Used as exhaust fan

The performance of general exhaust fans (commonly known as Yanggu fans) is relatively poor. Otherwise, whether it is used on the ground or hung in the air. Generally, 4 units are used in a workshop of 3,000 cubic meters, which means that the whole house is blown by the wind.

Roof fan

General roof fans (commonly known as ventilation fans) have low power and can only be used for indoor and bathroom ventilation. Negative pressure fans can be used on the roofs of industrial iron workshops. Some enterprises pay attention to the clean appearance, and installing them on the roofs can not only achieve ventilation and cooling effects, but also not affect the appearance.

Notes

1. Before turning on the ventilation system, check whether the ventilation openings are open (at least half of the ventilation openings for use); The exhaust fan should be turned off before shutting down the exhaust system.

2. After the initial commissioning of the ventilation system, during normal operation, please do not arbitrarily adjust the air outlet switch.

3. It is strictly forbidden to close the tuyere during normal startup, which will cause the deformation of the air duct, affect the life of the fan and the air duct, and be prone to failure.

Operation and Maintenance

The main factor affecting the normal operation of the exhaust system is whether the exhaust fan can operate normally, so the operation and maintenance of the exhaust fan is very important.

1. Before starting the exhaust fan, the following preparations should be carried out:

a. Check whether there is any sign of collision and friction between the transmission part and the fixed part of the fan;

b. Check whether the bearing seat and bearing are filled with butter;

c. Check whether the electrical circuit and instrument are normal.

2. When the fan starts and reaches the normal speed, it is necessary to check whether the bearing temperature is normal during operation. The bearing temperature rise shall not exceed 40℃, and the surface temperature shall not exceed 70℃. In case of abnormal phenomena such as violent vibration, abnormal noise, and rapid rise of bearing temperature, the machine must be stopped immediately. Check the cause of the failure and restart after troubleshooting.

Operation steps

1. Check the alignment of the spindle and motor.

2. Ensure that the bearings and all equipment requiring lubrication are filled with the recommended oil or grease to the correct oil level.

3. Check the inlet and outlet sides to ensure the free passage of air.

4. Check that all bolts are fully tightened, if loose, they will be damaged, especially those used for motors, couplings, bearings and foundations.

5. Check that the direction of rotation of the motor shaft and impeller is correct.

6. Check that there are no debris such as wrenches or nuts and bolts left inside the extractor, as these can seriously damage the extractor while rotating.

7. After the bearing is oiled, manually rotate the impeller for at least one turn to ensure sufficient clearance between the impeller and the casing.

8. Make sure all personnel are evacuated and secure all entry and inspection doors.

9. Ensure that all motors are properly insured.

10. Check that there is no standing water in the exhaust fans and pipes.

11. Check the operation of the inlet gate control to ensure it is working properly.

First fan start

1. Check whether the oil level of the bearing is normal.

2. Close the inlet regulating door to reduce the motor load at startup.

3. Start the motor: If the adjustment door is opened, the exhaust fan starts and the drive motor may be overloaded.

4. Fully open the outlet baffle, and then gradually open the inlet regulating door. The exhaust fan should not be operated with the adjustment door fully closed to avoid vibration and temperature rise.

5. Monitor bearing temperature for any abnormal vibrations.

6. Check bearing oil level and compare with design value.

General Startup Procedures

1. Check the exhaust fan oil level.

2. Close the inlet regulating door to reduce the load when the motor starts.

3. Start the motor: If the exhaust fan starts when the regulating door is opened, the drive motor may be overloaded.

4. Fully open the outlet baffle, and then gradually open the inlet regulating door. The exhaust fan should not be operated with the adjustment door fully closed to avoid vibration and temperature rise.

5. Check that the temperature of the exhaust fan and motor bearing is below the alarm value.

6. Check that the temperature of the motor windings and any other control loops is below the alarm setpoint.

7. Monitor bearing temperature and check for any abnormal vibration.

Normal operation

1. After starting up and running normally, please pay attention to the following general matters.

2. Bearings are cooled (below 73 degrees Celsius).

3. The oil level of the bearing is within the maximum and minimum operating range.

4. There is no excessive noise and vibration from the exhaust fan.

5. The controlled load can be adjusted by the following methods.

Use the inlet gate to regulate the load.

Be sure not to operate under surge conditions, which can cause serious damage to the extractor fan and its associated ducts.
