How to add ink to the printer cartridge How to add toner to the printer cartridge

Toner replacement is a must-know for laser printer and all-in-one users. When the toner runs out, it needs to be replaced in time. First, prepare special toner for laser printers suitable for the printer model, and carry tools for toner refilling of laser printer toner cartridges, including screwdrivers, diagonal pliers (needle-nose pliers), cotton, brush, leather tiger (or hair dryer), etc. Next, I will introduce the steps of adding toner to the toner cartridge and adding ink to the ink cartridge. I hope it will be a reference for you.

Toner cartridge filling steps

Preparation materials

Laser printer special toner, screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, cotton, brush, hair dryer Wait.

Removing the toner cartridge

Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on the toner cartridge cover, and then use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry off the snaps on the toner cartridge cover, and then open the toner cartridge cover. Spread a piece of newspaper on the table in advance, and pay attention to keep the working environment clean during the toner cartridge refilling process.

Cleaning the residual toner

①First empty the waste toner box and the toner in the toner box, then use a brush to gently remove the toner remaining on the edge of the toner box. Toner; where the brush can’t clean up, you can use a leather tiger or a hair dryer to clean up the waste toner.

②After cleaning the toner in the toner cartridge, use a brush to clean the toner around the toner cartridge.

③After cleaning the waste toner in the toner box and waste toner box, clean the waste toner on the charging roller and the magnetic roller.

Adding new toner

①Pour the toner into the toner cartridge of the toner cartridge slowly until it is full; The printing paper is placed at the mouth of the toner cartridge, which is convenient for adding toner to the toner cartridge.

②After adding the toner, cover the toner box and waste toner box and tighten the screws. Use a clean brush or soft cloth to wipe off the toner around the toner cartridge.

③ Before putting the toner cartridge into the printer, shake the toner cartridge left and right with your hand to distribute the toner evenly in the toner cartridge.

Test

Install the toner cartridge after adding powder to the laser printer, and test the printing effect after adding powder to the toner cartridge.

Steps for Refilling Ink Cartridges

Check Before Refilling Ink

Check if the ink cartridges are damaged. Although it is rare for the ink cartridge to be damaged during use, users should not neglect it. The specific inspection method is: when the ink is filled at the bottom, it is found that the resistance is very large or there is ink leakage, which indicates that the ink cartridge may be damaged, so do not fill the damaged ink cartridge with ink.

Cleaning before adding ink

Before filling the ink, the original ink of the ink cartridge should be thoroughly cleaned, otherwise the two different inks will have a chemical reaction after mixing together, causing the print head blockage, etc.

①Pull out the pistons of the three ink filling holes first, and then use a syringe to pour pure water into the ink cartridge. Be careful not to let the water overflow.

②Then hold the entire ink cartridge with your hand, with the ink filling hole facing upwards, and gently shake it a few times to fully dissolve the residual ink.

③If the force is too strong when shaking, and the liquid inside overflows, it should be wiped dry with paper towel or cloth in time to avoid infiltration into the circuit board and cause hardware failure.

④Use a syringe to pump out the mixed liquid in the ink cartridge, repeat the operation several times until the color of the extracted liquid is very light, then use the printer’s own ink cartridge cleaning program to clean it.

Prepare to add ink

①Take off the sealing patch on the ink injection hole first, and then use the thin end of the ball push tool to press the steel ball in the ink injection hole into the box .

②Remove the rubber cap on the ink cartridge, put the nozzle of the ink cartridge into the short needle and press it tightly.

③Fast the nut into the top of the ink cartridge, then insert the ink cartridge into the ink filling hole, and screw the screw into the nut hole.

④Rotate the screw to push the piston slowly until the ink is fully injected into the ink cartridge (note: two inks must be added at a time).

⑤Remove the ink cartridge, put the new steel ball in the ink injection hole, and lightly press the steel ball with the butt end of the ball pushing tool until it is flush with the orifice, and then attach the round patch.

⑥Put the ink outlet nozzle of the ink cartridge against the rubber key, and press the end of the ink cartridge firmly to make it snap into the protective clip.

⑦Remove the short needle of the empty ink cartridge, insert the nozzle of the ink cartridge into the rubber key hole, and press it tightly. Reverse the screw to make the piston bounce, inhale the ink 2-3 mm high, and then gently take out the ink cartridge.

⑧Take out the ink cartridge from the protective clip, wipe off the ink stains with a clean paper towel, and then install it for use.

The difference between toner cartridges, ink cartridges and toner cartridges

Toner cartridges

In fact, we often say “toner cartridges”, the correct name is Toner cartridge. Toner is a solid powdery substance. Toner cartridges are copier consumable products provided to multifunction copiers and laser printers, while ink cartridges are printing consumable products provided to inkjet printers.

Ink cartridges

Ink cartridges mainly refer to the parts in inkjet printers that are used to store printing ink and finally complete printing. Its internal storage is ink, which, as the name suggests, is a liquid substance. In ancient times, it refers to the study utensils that people used to hold ink. From the perspective of the composition and structure of the ink cartridges on the market, in general, it can be divided into: split ink cartridges and integrated ink cartridges. It should be noted that ink cartridges have a very important position for the entire inkjet printer, especially some low-end printers, which have reached the price of 2 ink cartridges = 1 printer. Therefore, when purchasing a printer, you must consider the situation of ink cartridges.

Toner Cartridges

Also known as photosensitive drums, they generally consist of a basic substrate made of aluminum and a photosensitive material coated on the substrate. The toner cartridge not only determines the quality of printing, but also determines how much money the user needs to spend in the process of using it. In laser printers, more than 70% of the imaging components are concentrated in the toner cartridge, and the quality of printing is actually largely determined by the toner cartridge. Therefore, the toner cartridge is the most critical component of a laser printer.
