Some Simple Troubleshooting Methods for Phones

Some simple troubleshooting methods for the phone

1. The phone cannot be dialed in or out, and the off-hook light is not on .

Most of these faults are in the incoming line:

(1) The loose and disconnected screws of the telephone junction box cause an open circuit, and the line can be reconnected;

(2) The incoming plug of the telephone is loose, use tweezers to pull the two wires in the incoming socket of the telephone outwards, so that the wire connection is tightly pressed on the incoming plug;

(3) The incoming line of the telephone is broken (the incoming line is most likely to be broken due to the frequent mobile phone calls), you can try to borrow a line from the neighbor to make sure that the incoming line of the telephone is broken, just buy one and replace it.

2. Sometimes there is no voice when sending or receiving calls

Most of these faults are that the handle spiral coil is not in good contact, and the coil is in contact with the phone. The plugs of the main unit and the handle are very easy to loosen, and sometimes the call is normal by moving the plug. At this time, just use tweezers to pull the wires in the socket outwards to make them in good contact. In addition, the coiled wire head and the plug are crimped, which is easy to fall off and cause poor contact. If you suspect that the coiled wire is falling off, you can borrow a coiled wire from the neighbor to try it out. Make sure that the coiled wire is broken, and then buy another one and replace it. .

3. Can’t make calls

When a call comes in, you hear a phone ring, the call is disconnected, but the outgoing call is normal. This kind of failure is mostly due to leakage of electricity in the incoming line of the telephone or the input part of the circuit. When the phone hangs up, the input voltage is 48V. When making a call, the voltage is only about 10V. The voltage is low and the leakage is not obvious. The phone rings, and then because the ringing signal is AC 90V high voltage, the leakage point will be broken down, and the switchboard mistakenly thinks the phone has been picked up. The phone stops sending the ringing signal, the input voltage is reduced, the leakage is reduced, and the hook is formed, so only one ring is rang, and the phone is disconnected. One possibility of this kind of failure is that the telephone inlet box or the phone enters the water and causes leakage, as long as it is dried with a hair dryer; Turn on the phone (be careful not to break the internal lead), check the circuit board near the incoming line of the phone to see if there is a black spot on the circuit board, you can also connect the phone, and then call someone else. Electric shock sparks, find the leakage place and scrape it with a knife and try the machine again until it can be used normally.

4. Always send a number

There are two situations in which a number is always sent. One is to pick up the handset, and the phone will automatically send a certain number. number, the keyboard fails; another case is to pick up the handset and press any number, the phone will always send this number, and other keys will fail. This is mostly caused by water entering the phone keyboard. You can carefully open the phone with the phone panel facing down, remove the keyboard screws and take out the keyboard circuit board, first use a hair dryer to dry the water, and then wipe the circuit board with an eraser. Clean the conductive rubber of the keyboard, install the phone as it is, and the fault can be eliminated.

5. The keys do not work

The fault phenomenon is that the number must be pressed hard to issue the number, this is because the conductive rubber of the keyboard and the contacts of the circuit board are dirty , resulting in poor contact. When repairing, just open the phone and take out the keyboard circuit board according to the above example, wipe the contacts of the circuit board with rubber, wipe the conductive rubber with paper, and install the phone as it is.

6. Loud noise

If the noise is continuous hum, most of the microphones are not good, you can open the phone handle, use a screwdriver or conductive object Short-circuit the negative pole of the microphone to the shell of the microphone. If the noise disappears, it can be determined that the microphone is broken. It can be used by winding the negative terminal of the microphone and the casing of the microphone.

If the noise is an irregular clicking sound, it is mostly due to poor contact, and most of it is a poor contact of the pressure reed switch. The noise of the pressure reed switch disappears when it is moved. Just turn on the phone, inject some anhydrous alcohol into the pressure reed switch with a medical syringe, press the pressure reed switch repeatedly, and then dry it with a hair dryer, and it can be used normally.

7. The voice of the call is low

When you make a call, when you speak to the microphone, the saliva will easily enter the microphone, causing obstacles to sound transmission. The other party can’t hear clearly. At this time, just use a hair dryer to blow on the microphone to dry the moisture in the microphone, and it can return to normal.
