Experts introduce some common sense in the use of motorized wheelchairs
I. Purchase of motorized wheelchairs for disabled persons:
Motor wheelchair engines mainly include automatic clutch shifting engines and automatic clutch continuously variable speed engines. Generally, the former is used in riding vehicles, and the latter is used in scooter vehicles.
1. When you determine the type of motorized wheelchair, you should first observe whether the appearance is beautiful and generous, the shape is new, the forehead color is bright, the paint and electroplating are uniform and bright, and whether there are bumps and scratches. Then check whether the frame, front fork, rear fork, handlebar, and wheels should be straight and not inclined, and whether the welding seam is smooth or whether there is any open welding phenomenon. There are no shortage of parts, and the connection parts of the machine parts are fast and reliable.
2. Check whether the free travel and return of the control part are flexible, and the rotation of the front and rear wheels is free to slide. Check whether there is friction between the brake drum and the brake shoes, check gasoline, oil, tire pressure, battery power and electrolyte, etc.
3. Check and start the engine: the engine should be started within no more than 3 times when the starter lever is pulled by hand, the electric start should respond quickly, and the engine can be started smoothly with one push of the switch, indicating that the engine has good starting performance. If starting at low temperature in winter, close the choke first. After starting, when the engine temperature rises to about 60 ℃, open the choke valve. The idling performance is stable, indicating that the engine is in good technical condition. The normal idle speed should not exceed 1800r/min. After idling in the neutral position for a few minutes, suddenly increase the accelerator, and the engine speed can increase rapidly, and the acceleration performance is good. If the accelerator is suddenly increased and the speed increases slowly, it means that the acceleration performance is poor. When the throttle is retracted, the engine runs smoothly without stalling. This shows that the engine has good idling performance. CVT engines should use this method carefully when testing the idle speed transition performance to prevent the vehicle from suddenly jumping out and causing danger. When the engine is running normally, the sound should be smooth and soft, with no percussion, but only a monotonous explosion of combustion. If there are other sounds, the engine is faulty.
4. Check the circuit: The electrical switch should be flexible, convenient and reliable. All lights and speakers are complete.
5. Check whether to keep driving straight when driving. If the vehicle sways from side to side while driving, it means that there is a problem with the assembly and adjustment of the steering system, and the straight-line driving performance is not good. When checking the shifting, the gears should be clear, accurate, reliable, without shifting, chaotic and abnormal noise. Check the braking effect, the braking should be stable and the return position is good. If there is a reverse gear, check whether the vehicle will tilt and run unstable when the reverse braking is performed.
Second, the use and maintenance of motorized wheelchairs:
1. Strictly follow the instructions in the product instruction manual, and it is important to read the instructions;
2. For a new car, it must be run-in according to the instructions, in order to better extend the service life of the vehicle and give full play to the performance of the vehicle;
3. It is strictly forbidden to change the structure of the vehicle without permission, and do not change the engine Displacement, wheel size, this will bring safety hazards;
4. Always check the condition of the vehicle, carry out professional maintenance in time, check the oil correctly and change and add it in time; do not leave the car sick , to prevent major failures caused by small problems, resulting in unnecessary accidents in driving.
